The relationship listed on the 1920 US Census is Foster Father to Harold.
I had Christian as his father from Aunt Gen's Bible. On Wilhelm's DC his father is listed as Henry. Heinrich was Christian's middle name.
Since there is a KOW on the end of his surname there is a good chance tht he is from Pommerania.
There was a Henrich Pittelkow that had a feed store at 603 Dale in 1901 per his grandson Harold Pittelkow (not a proven relative) who lived at 218 W. County Rd. C., Roseville, MN 55113. He sent a letter to Genevieve Pittelkow dated May 12, 1993. They were trying to make a connection between his grandfather (Henrich) and her husband's Grandfather. The letter also had a 1926 "Sanborn Fire Map" included. It is filed with Wilhelm's death cert. DCMN043.
I believe that Wilhelm may have had his right leg amputated.

Does not state where he was born. Note that Wm is called a fosterfather to Harry. This Census was taken after the adoption of Harry. Interesting.
- ↑ Genevieve Pittelkow has 1942 listed in her family bible.
- ↑ (date on 1900 & 1910 Census) he had been in the US 18 years-He would have been about 32 yrs. old and already married to Emelia.
On Death Cert. it shows he has been living in the US for 43 years making 1881 his immigration date.
- ↑ From R. L. Polk Directory. William and his wife lived here before Harold Anderson was born.

- ↑ From R. L. Polk Directory. 626 Edmund shows as the back yard of the store on Dale and Edmund on maps.google.com.
I have also seen an address of 620 Edmunds. This may be the store. (On maps.google.com it shows the store.) It is interesting that in the 1885 State CN there was a Henry Pittelkow living at 564 Edmund. This is one block south from the Dale and Edmund store. (On maps.google.com this is a building that may have been a store at one time.) Also there is a Henry Pittelkow listed at 584 Edmund. (less that a block from the Dale and Edmund store, see maps.google.com)
- ↑ Wm, Amelia, Harold and a servant named Annie Trapp.
- ↑ 1896-98 & 1909 R.L.Polk directories show this adress also, Dale and Edmonds.
Ward 8? Census 1900, 1905 & 1910 show the same address. This is the store location that became Harry's store.
- ↑ 1896-1909 R.L.Polk directories show (Grocer-Retail) at 569 N. Dale-residence the same, they lived above the store. This is at Dale and Edmonds. Also listed at this address on the MN state census of 1895.
Ward 8? The first name of the store was "Golden Tea & Coffee House".
