[edit] Will TranscriptWill of Wilhelm Geiger In The Name of God Amen The second day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Nine. I Wilhelm Griger of Frederick County in the Colony of Virginia being Very Sick & Weak in Body but of Perfect mind and Memory thanks be given unto God. Therefore Calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Dye do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to Say Principally and first of all I give and Recommand my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it and my Body I Recommand it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian Like and Descent Manner at the Discretion of my Executors Nothing Doubting But at the General Resurrection I shall Receive the Same again by the mighty Power of God and as Touching such Worldly Estate wherewith it Had Pleased God to Bless me in this Life. I give Devise and Dispose of the same in the following Manner and form, I give and Bequeath to my well beloved Wife Eva Griger whom I likewise Constitute make and ordain my only and sole Executor and John Bonewith of this my Last Will & Testament. I give all my improvements and the thereon Entirety with House & Stables and all movables together with all my Household goods by her freely to be Possessed and Enjoyed by her and her Heirs and assigns forever and I do herby make this in my Last Will and Testament that none of my Six Children should be Bound out without my Executors Free will Imprimis. I make this in my Last Will & Testament that my Son Christian Griger is to have out my Estate Ten Pounds Current money of Virginia further I make this in my Last Will and Testament unto Adam Griger Ten Pounds Current money of Virginia to be Paid out my Estate Further I make this in my Last Will & Testament unto my well Beloved Daughter Rosina Griger Ten Pounds Current money of Virginia to be paid out my Estate. Further I make this in my Last Will & Testament unto my Well Beloved Daughter Madalana Griger Ten Pounds Current Money of Virginia to be paid out of my Estate. Further I make this in my Last Will & Testament that my Well Beloved Son Wilhelm Griger Ten Pounds Current money of Virginia to be paid out my Estate & I do hereby utterly Disallow Revoke & Disavowal all & Every other former Testament Wills, Willed & Bequeathed Ratifying & Confirming this & no other to be my Last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand & Seal the day and year above Written. his Signed Wilhelm (W) Geiger mark Sign Sealed & Delivered In the Presence of us his his John (X)Blisarth George (X) Little mark mark his George (KI) Counts mark At a Court held for Frederick County on Tuesday the 1 day of May 1759 This Last Will & Testament of William Griger Deceased was Presented into Court by Eva Griger & John Bonewith the Executors therein named who make Oaths hereto according to Law, & the said Will being Proved in Court by the Oaths of John Blizard & George Little Witness thereto admitted to record.
