    Our poor Wilf, as he was known, I think he was not too bright, he was injured in WW1, gunshot wound to left foot. He and Kate were as tight as a ..... they wouldn't go to see Tom who lived a few miles away because the bus was too dear, but they had thousands of pounds from Ernest in uncashed bankers drafts lying around. Kate was apparently very domineering.
