From the May 30, 1972, edition of the Dubuque (IA) Telegraph Herald Wilford J. Ryan LANCASTER, Wis. -- Wilford J. Ryan, 71, of Lancaster, and formerly of Otter Creek, died Monday afternoon at his home. Services will be at 9 am Thursday at the Church of the Nativity at Dubuque, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 pm Wednesday at the Hoffmann Mortuary, where the Rosary will be said at 7:30 pm Wednesday and the New Liturgical Rite will be held at 8 pm. Mr. Ryan was a member of St. Clement parish at Lancaster and was a veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Joyce (Yeager) Ryan of Lancaster; two daughters, Jane and Cathy, and three sons, Stanley, Steven and Richard, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Loretta Ryan, and three sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Donna) Slattery, Mrs. Ronald (Mardell) Mayberry and Anita Ryan, all of Dubuque, and a brother, Loras of Bernard, Ia.
