The first mention of Wiley Worley may be in the 1800 Indenture which was witnessed by Wiley Worley in Anson County, NC.

Wiley Worley is first mentioned in Knox County, KY around 1809 when he takes possession of 50 acres near Young's Creek in Knox County. He appears in the 1810 Census and Tax Records. In 1817, he receives title to his 50 acres. He is mentioned in a few court records and in the 1820 Census. The last time he is mentioned is in the 1828 Tax Records (although the records may have not been immediately updated).

Some say that he disappeared while making a trip back to NC. Interestingly, his possible brother, Willis Worley and his possible father-in-law, Thomas Meadors also disappear from the records during the same time period.

[Note: Thomas Meadors died before 1826, he didn't disappear.]
