BURLINGTON — Mr. Wayne H. Coble, 60, of Burlington, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 6:48 p.m. following nine months illness.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Lettie D. Coble, who survives, and the son of Clyde H. Coble and Georgie Euliss Coble, both deceased. He was retired from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department and a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Ms. Donna Kay Coble and her children, Phillip and Ashlyn and Mrs. Leslie Coble Joyce and husband, Scott, and their child, Michael, all of Graham; and a sister, Mrs. Lorene Russell and husband, Earl, of Snow Camp.

The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Bobby Tate. Burial will follow in the Mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service, and at other times they will be at the residence.
