THIS INDENTURE made the Eleventh day of October in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy nine By and Between WAUGH DARNALL and ANN his Wife of County of Culpeper and the Collony of Virginia of one part and RICHARD PARKS of the County and Collony aforesaid of other part Witnesseth that WAUGH DARNALL and ANN his Wife in consideration of the just sum of One hundred and sixty pounds currency of Virginia to them in hand paid by these presents doth bargain and sell unto RICHARD PARKS his heirs and assigns one certain parcel of land containing One hundred and four acres situate lying and being in Culpeper County and Bromfield Parish in the GOURD VINE FORK of RAPPAHANNOCK RIVER the same being part of Three hundred and Twelve acres of land granted to WAUGH DARNEL and others agreeable to the Will of KALEM PRICE (deceast) by the Right Honourable THOMAS LORD FAIRFAX Proprietor of the Northern Neck of Virginia by Deed from the Proprietors Office bearing date the Twenty third day of June One thousand seven hundred and seventy seven and said Hundred and four acres of land is bounded Beginning at two Pines on a Ridge corner to MILLEY PRICE on JOHN HILLs Line and runs with MILLEY PRICE's Line West One hundred and seventy eight poles to two Pines on a Ridge in the line of KALEM PRICE's Survey thence with the line of that Survey South One hundred and six pole to three Pines on a Ridge corner to JOHN HILLs land formly Colo. WILLIAM GREEN, thence with the line of JOHN HILL to the beginning place with all houses orchards and profits to the same belonging To have and to hold the aforesaid track of land and premises unto RICHARD PARKS his heirs and assigns In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have Interchangeably hereto set their hands and fiat their seals the day and year first above written in the presents of us LEWIS TUTT, WAUGH DARNALL

At a Court held for Culpeper County the Eighteenth day of October One thousand seven hundred and seventy nine This Indenture and the memorandum and Receipt endorsed was proved by the Oaths of three of the Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded
