Washington's 1st marriage produced at least one son, Wells BECK. He is said to have gone west. [2015-this information is contained in the family history written by John Seitz Beck. However, though I find a Wells Marcus Beck b 1842. his parents are Joseph Beck (1820-1898) and Leah Furst (1818-1906)

Washington's 2nd marriage produced at least 3 sons, Ed, Rodgers and Sam. All three went to Colorado. [2015-this also is not true; Edward A Beck, b 1862 is Elizabeth Potts's son. I think Washington's 2nd wife may have been Hannah (see 1860 census with children Theodore L; 17; Butler W; 14; (these two may be from a first marriage); W R; 6; and Sam'l J; 2 (from marriage #2, maybe)]

His 3rd marriage to Elizabeth POTTS produced 2 sons - the second one was Charles A BECK. His wife is Alice A; they had three children; one son, John D, became a doctor at the University of PA. [2015-also not true. Washington and Elizabeth had 3 sons-Edward A; Elmer L; and Charles A-Charles is son 3 not son 2]

1850 census-Washington is 32 and a miller. He is living with a George Beck family. This George Beck is probably Washington's older brother born 1803

1870 census-Pennsylvania-Lancaster-Providence Township-PO Smithville-2 Aug 1870-Washington Beck, age 55, farming, personal property value $3,000, born PA, and eligible to vote; Elizabeth, age 42, keeping house, born in NJ; William B., age 16; Samuel J., age 12, in school; Edward A., age 8, in school; Elmer L., age 4; Charles A., age 1; Styer, Mary A., age 16, domestic servant; all born in PA

1900 census-11 Jun 1900-Washington is living with his son, Elmer L Beck and Elmer's family. Washington is born Oct 1816 and is age 83
