Warren Morgan, 82, of Amsterdam, died unexpectedly in his residence January 9, 2005. He was born February 14, 1922 in Northfield, Ohio, a son of the late Leland and Sylvia (Miller) Morgan. Warren was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a lifelong farmer in the Kilgore area and a member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau.
Warren is survived by one brother, Earl Morgan of Massillon; one sister, Betty Bick of Amsterdam-Kilgore area; several nieces, nephews and close friends; and his faithful Pug Dog, "Sweety." Warren was preceded in death by his wife, Orlou, in 1993; one brother John; and two sisters, Kate Kelly and Mary Davis. Funeral services were held January 12 at 11 a.m. in the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam, with Pastor Chris Current officiating. Burial followed in the Kilgore Cemetery where full military honors were provided by the V.F.W., D.A.V., and American Legion.
