1. He was a noted gunsmith. 2. Warden Willis, J.P., married Andrew Brown and Nancy Shewey 3. Source 163 says he came to Illinois about 1851, but he already appears on the 1850 Pleasant Vale Census. 4. In 1860 Pleasant Vale Census, Warden resides with his daughter, Samantha, and her husband, Stephen H. Parkhurst (surname uncertain, possibly Parkins.). Sarah Willis, age 14, is listed on line following Warden. If this is a daughter of Warden, her age indicates she was born about 1846. However, the 1850 Census does not list a Sarah with Wardens's other children. Perhaps she is being cared for by a relative? 5. On 1880 Census, Sallie resides with him in Denver, Missouri.
