Walter de Ridelisford was active in Irish affairs, like his wifes uncles, the Fitz Geralds, and acquired large grants of land there.1 He was held his principle seat at Carriebenan in South Kildare, Ireland.2 He was born circa 1135?. He married Amalbis FitzHenry, daughter of Henry fitz Roy de Normandie.1 He endowed a convent at Granry, near Castle Dermont "pro redemptione animae suae suroumque parentum" circa 1200.2 He died after 1226.
