Daily Times-News, The Tuesday, May 25, 1971 WALTER Lee CATES, 59, of Rt. 6, Burlington, died at his home Monday morning at 11 o'clock after three months of illness. A native of Virginia, he was a mechanic for Burlington Industries in the Plaid Mills Division. He was a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church and was a former Sun- day School superintendent and Sunday School teacher. He also was a former member of the choir. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.. Mattie Rich CATES of the home; one son, Randy Lee CATES of Rt. 6, Burlington; two grandchildren; and one half- brother, Ivan Dandridge of Burlington.
