Facts and Events
A medical doctor, Wallace graduated from Hahnemann Medical School, Philadelphia, when it was still a homeopathic institution. In a 1902 Montgomery County Directory he was listed as a "student." Listed as a member of the Montgomery Medical Society in 1923. He was an innovator in the field of anesthesia, for instance writing a letter that was printed in the May-June 1937 issue of "Anesthesia and Analgesia" about a superior post-operative position to prevent patients from choking to death while they were still under anesthesia. He also developed suction techniques for removing tonsils. He and Maude took their honeymoon in Europe. On their return they left Liverpool December 30, 1903, on the "Noordland," and arrived back in Philadelphia on January 15, 1904. After Maude became ill he took her and the children to New Mexico in hopes of a cure, which is where she died of tuberculosis. Dr. W. W. Dill was also a Sunday School teacher, and according to Van Sr., he was a "fine bible teacher." References
