Vivian I. Keracher

Vivian I. Keracher, 86, formerly of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009, in Concordia Lutheran Home in Cabot. She was born Thursday, March 8, 1923, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late William H. and Blanche (Loughner) Leonhardt. She had retired in 1988 from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Vivian was a charter member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Greensburg, West Point. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John R. "Johnnie Roberts" Keracher. Surviving are her son, Lawrence W. Noftz and his wife, Kathy, of Derry; stepdaughter, Jean Semenko and her husband, John, of Greensburg; grandsons, Brian and Darren Noftz, of Derry, and Edward L. Noftz and his wife, Rosemarie, of Tamaqua, Pa.; brother, William H. (Tim) Leonhardt, of Greensburg; sister, Phyllis J. Campbell, of Cabot; four great-grandchildren; a special niece, Diana Campbell and her husband, Ken, of Valencia; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Edward L. Noftz officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillview Cemetery.
