Virginia M. Howe Lansing, MI Born on August 13, 1918, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Willis; her mother, Vera Moray-Bell and stepfather, David Bell; and her father, Freeman Moray and stepmother, Virginia Moray. Surviving are: children, John (Joyce) Howe, Richard (Shirley) Howe, Wilma Jean Billings, Naomi (Robert) Sherman and Patricia Rutherford; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; half-sister, Shirley (Gordon) Richards; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members. Virginia was an avid gardener and always had an immaculate yard. She was also known for her generosity and was always thinking of and was willing to help and take care of others. She was a member of the East Lansing chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp High fields or the Eaton Rapids Campground.
