Virginia Hamman Ritter, 76, pleasant Lake, died Friday, October 1, atCameron Memorial hospital, Angola. She was born June 14, 1917, in ElPaso, Texas, to Hugh and Cecelia Martin Hamman. Mrs. Ritter retired in1980 as a clerk from Dana Weatherhead, Angola. She was a member of St.Anthony Catholic Church, Angola, the Altar and Rosary Society of theChurch, Pleasant Lake Fireman Auxiliary and Sugar N' Spice ExtensionHomemakers Club. She is survived by two sons, Wymond of Sellersburg and Jay of WestPoint; one daughter, Peg Kloock of Jackson, Michigan; 9 grandchildrenand 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,Wymond, in 1971. A funeral mass was held Monday, October 4 at St.Anthony's with Father Robert St. Martin officiating. A prayer servicewas conducted Sunday at Weicht funeral home, Angola. Burial was inMount Zion Cemetery, rural Pleasant Lake. Memorials may be made to thedonor's choice."
