    Mrs. Viola May Kauffman, wife of Warren E. Kauffman, died at her home, 236 Prospect Avenue, yesterday at 10a.m., aged 48 years.

    Born and reared in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of Camby A. and Bessie (Shuff) Stottlemyer. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

    Surviving are husband, Warren E. Kauffman, Sr.; mother, Mrs. C. A. Stottlemyer; daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Merl, Los Angeles; Mrs. Agnes Rudisill, Mrs. Lola Meyers, Mrs. Stella Clark, Hagerstown; sons, Warren E. Kauffman, Jr., Hagerstown, Airman Second Class Richard R. Kauffman, Japan; Larry N. Kauffman, Gary D. Kauffman, Charles M. Kauffman, at home; sisters, Mrs. R. Lear, Mrs. C. W. Anderson, Hagerstown; and six grandchildren.

    The body was taken to the Suter Funeral Home. Funeral plans will be announced later.
