Winifred Lehew born abt 1730 married Vincent Owens. The
Lehews were in Frederick and Shenandoah counties. Gary has done much more
research than I have and he has Winifred and Vincent as being married in
Prince William county. We have an incomplete list of their children. the
fun one is their daughter Nancy Owens, who married her cousin William Owens
    - son of William Owens.

    3. Winifred LeHew (Peter LeHew , Nicholas ) was born about 1730 in
Northumberland, Virginia. She died after 1802.

Winifred and Vincent were still residents of Frederick County in 1802 when
they sold some land to William Vannort - land devised to Winifred by Peter
Lehew. It is believed they went to Kentucky

Winifred married Vincent Owens, son of Owens, in Prince William County,
Virginia. Vincent was born 1720 in Virginia. He died after 1802.

Mentioned in Peter Lehew of Front Royal, Virginia, by James Huston LeHue
and Edith Foster, 1967, page 19.

    They had the following children:

Applied for a pension stating that he enlisted in the 2nd Regiment of the
State Line of Virginia in 1778 along with David "Layhew", Thomas Morgan,
Jeremaiah "Layhew", and Simon Harrell. Vincent Owens said he lived at Front
Royal at the time of enlistment. He also stated that when he first made
application for pension in 1819, he had David Layhew's testimony regarding
his service, but had lost track of him later. This application was
rejected, but he was successful under the Act of 1832.
