Victor Hugo Paulsen was named after the famous author Victor Hugo. Gramma Paulsen just finished one of his books and like the author's name so much that she decided to call her child by that name. Victor worked for the East Ohio Gas Co. as a comptroller. He died of Parkenson's Disease in 1950. (listed as cause of death in Cemetery records) Ed recalled that he was standing at a bus stop and fell backwards. He was soon diagnosed with Parkinson's. This was in 1937.

Donna can remember her grandfather sitting in the kitchen wearing a straw hat. He wore a toupee' and would never be caught without something on his head.
