Mrs. Vernice Snyder, 72, of Emlenton RD 1, died at 3:40 am Saturday in Oil City Hospital. She was born June 13, 1896, in the West Home area of Venango County, daughter of Samuel and Jane Fry McMurdy.
She was a member of West Home Free Methodist Church.
On Feb. 25, 1915, she married Lawrence Snyder, who survives, with two daughters and a son, Mrs. Burt (Mary Jane) McCormick of Emlenton RD 3, Mrs. Donald (Louise Alline) Rapp of Lorain, OH, and Samuel Henry Snyder of Buffalo, NY; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Florence Hogue.
Services will be at 2:30 pm Monday at Rupert Funeral Home, Knox, with Rev. Raymond Ziegler officiating. Interment will be in Old Zion Cemetery.
