Lawrence C. Snyder, 78, of Emlenton RD 3, died Friday evening at home, He was born Oct. 6, 1891, at Lamartine, son of Daniel A. and Clara Laughner Snyder
On Feb. 25, 1915, he married Bernice McMurdy, who died Feb. 8, 1969.
He did general farming at home and was a stonemason, having worked his trade throughout the area. He attended West Home Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Samuel H. Snyder of Buffalo, NY; two daughters, Mrs. Burt (Mary Jane) McCormick of Emlenton RD 3, and Mrs. Donald (Louise) Rapp of Niles, OH; a sister, Mrs. Inez Miles of Gaithersburg, MD; two grandsons; four granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Rupert Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Mangel, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Old Zion Cemetery at Emlenton RD 1.
