V. B. Stewart of Dodson Dies Saturday P. M.

Pneumonia Claims Life of Victim After Short Illness

V. B. Stewart, aged 63 years, 11 months, and 27 days, a memberof an esteemed Dodson family died at his home Saturday evening after a briefillness from pneumonia.

Funeral services were held at New Hope Church of which Mr.Stewart was a member, Sunday at 4 p.m., Rev. Morris Lee, the pastorofficiated.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Dean Stewart,and the following children: V. B., Jr. and Leamon Stewart, of Dodson,Averett Stewart of Jonesboro and Mrs. Tressie Hicks of Winnfield. Also fourbrothers and one sister survive. The family has the deepest sympathy of theirfriends in their bereavement.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs.Harvey Dean of Pine Prairie, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Goodwin of Zimmerman, Mr. E. J.Dean and daughter, Edna, of Winnfield, Mrs. W. Irvin and Miss Agnes Irvinand Mrs. Mattie Vinson of Jonesboro.
