T. J. Stewart, 80, Is Buried At New Hope July 24

Thomas Jefferson Stewart, 80, a resident of the Hudsoncommunity, died in a Winnfield hospital Friday night, July 22, 1960. He was a retiredfarmer and had been in ill health for some time.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the New HopeMethodist Church with Dr. W. L. Holcomb and the Rev. Grafton Shawofficiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were James Vines, Wiley Putrell, GarlandSanders, Woodrow Adams, Leonard Rhymes, and Guy Berry.

Survivors include a son, Leonard Stewart of Hudson; twodaughters, Mrs. Grady Hammett, Lake Charles, Mrs. Leonard Willis, Alexandria; sixgrandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
