Greene County, TN Court Minutes, 17 November 1828: Smith Hunt, Peter Hunt and Delilah his wife, formerly Delilah Hunt, Thomas Hunt, James Duncan and Sarah his wife formerly Sarah Hunt, Uriah Hunt, Jesse Hunt, Richard Martin and Achsar his wife formerly Achsor Hunt, Benjamin Hunt, Paine Squibb and Dicey his wife formerly Diecy Hunt, heirs at Law of Ariah Hunt dec'd., complainanta vs. Joseph Duncan and Rhoda his wife formerly Rhoda Hunt, Samuel Duncan and Jacob Kebler, Respondents; O. Bill. Smith Hunt one of the complainants in his proper person appeared in Court and dismissed the Bill and Samuel Duncan one of the Respondents being also present assumes the payment of the costs ~ It is therefore ordered that the complainants recover of the Respondent Samuel Duncan the costs of this suit and that extension may issue for the same ~.

   In June 1995 many Hunt descendants from all over the United States met at Jonesborough, Washington County, TN for a two day conference. The excess proceeds were designated to purchase a grave stone for Uriah, of "The 14". He and his wife are buried there on the land once owned by Uriah, who was the owner of a considerable amount of land. In 1995 their graves were marked only with field stones. Many of their descendants are buried near them, some graves marked with inscriptions and some not.
