Richard B. Martin was born in Talbot Co., Maryland to Henry Martin and Chloe Ann Boswell Martin; they arrived in Washington Co., Tennessee sometime after 1800.
Children of Richard and Achsah Hunt Martin were Uriah H Martin, James Martin, Henry S Martin, Nathan G. Martin Sarah Ann Martin, William C. Martin, Richard Hunt Martin and Samuel Patton Martin.∼Richard was the son of Henry Martin and Chloe Boswell. The family made the move to Tennessee about 1805 with three sons Caleb, John C and Richard and two daughters Lucretia and Elizabeth where three more daughters Chloe Ann, Sarah and Rebecca and one son Elias were born. Father, Henry mentions son Richard and daughter "Betty" Jones in his September 15, 1819 will. Son John C Martin named executor Henry died September 24, 1819, buried not known.
Richard B Martin married Achsa Hunt daughter of Uriah Hunt and Sarah "Sally" Kincheloe. They were married March 15, 1821 by Uriah Hunt M.G. License to wed was March 13, 1821.
Eight sons and one daughter : John, Uriah, James, Henry, Nathan, Sarah Ann, William C, Richard Hunt and Samuel Patton Martin.
