Obit: June Young, 64, died Friday, Dec 29,2000, in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 3pm, Tuesday in the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Fox, of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery. Young was born July 1, 1936, in Odell, a daughter of the late Tom Lewis and Carrie Henderson Luedtke. She has lived in Vernon, Houston, and Dallas. A homemaker, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a volunteer with USSV. services. Survivors included her husband, Calvin Young of Vernon, a daughter , Dania Baldwin of Houston; a son Keith Downs of Conroe, TX; a sister, Jerry Castleberry of Vernon; a brother, Bob Lewis of Big Springs; three grandchildren and a great-grandson. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
