Thomas Yarbrough Sr. (b. 1685) had migrated to NC. Thomas Y. Sr. was living as late as 1761 when he traveled to Virginia as a witness in a lawsuit involving Thomas Y. Jr. and wife Hannah. It was a lawsuit over some slaves that Hannah Jordan Yarbrough said was a gift from her father many years earlier. The other heirs thought they should be part of Samuel Jordan's estate. This suit went on for years. Thomas Yarb. Sr.'s deposition gave his date of birth.
