Facts and Events
The 16 years age span of the chldren shown as of April 2003 suggests some needed family data (missing children? different marriage? what?). 1880 U.S. Census for Bogard Twp, Henry Co., MO taken June 5/7 1880 shows D76F77 Whisamore family of Thomas, 35; bea 1845, married farmer b. OH with parents both born PA. ; wife Sarah E. , 35 bea 1845,b. IN fa. b. OH., mo. b. KY;son Hiram D., 18 bea 1862 b.IN, single at home disabled scrofula ; Thomas H. 16, bea 1964 son single attends school, b. IN ; Mary M. 13, bea 1867 dau single attending school; Daniel M. 10 bea 1870 son single attending school, b. IL; John W. son 2, bea 1878 b. MO; and Annie O. 4mo. bea 1880, dau b. MO. All of these children show fa. b. OH and mo. b. KY....notice that Sarah here is reported as born in Indiana, not Ohio. That could have been an error in original recording (probably so) or transcription, but bears notice. Also notice that parents are age 35 with oldest child age 18 (born when parents aged 17 and conceived at their age 16), then an 8 yrs. span between child #4 and child #5. Note that child Daniel was born in IL, but they could have been visiting (uncle Thomas?) en route from IN to MO. See 25 Mar 2003 Email ([email protected]) with interesting comments and ideas. |
