Thursday, September 9, 1909.

The funeral of Thomas Wetmore, who died at his home in this place on Sunday last, was largely attebded from the M, E. church, of which he was a member, on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. H. E. Eades officiating. Mr. Wetmore was born in the town of Leyden and was 73 years of age. He has resided all his life near this place and for several years in this village, where he was well known to all. He was thrice married and is survived by five sons and four daughters. Interment was made in Union cemetery.

↑ There may be a problem with Thomas' birth date as given above. The 1850 census gives his age as 13, which would make he year about 1837. Age at death of 73 would make it 1836. The 1900 census shows his birth as Oct. 1842, but I suspect this is incorrect. The 1880 census gives his age as 41.
