Thomas Thompson witnessed the will of Henry Rich in Rowan County, North Carolina on 6 April 1793.

- Thomas Thompson - d. about 1794, Rowan Co., NC. Thomas' will dated 12 Nov 1793 and proved in 1794 (Rowan Co. Will Book E, pp. 34-36) names four sons and five daughters (in the order following). Thomas is named in his father's 1774 will, and he, two sons and three daughters (order uncertain) are named in the 1804 will of his sister Margaret (THOMPSON) BROWN. Married Elizabeth. Executors of Thomas' 1793 will are "son in law" William McKNITE, probable brother-in-law John BROWN and daughter Elizabeth THOMPSON. Guardianship bonds from 1794 to 1814 name guardians for all children except daughters Nancy and Elizabeth. William McKNIGHT was named as guardian of Alexander, Thomas and James THOMPSON, the latter noted to be "lunatic or idiot." Children of Thomas and Elizabeth THOMPSON: James; Nancy married William McKNIGHT; Elizabeth married John McGAUGHEY; Mary 'Polly'; Pamela; Alexander; Thomas; Eleanor 'Nelly'; and John Brown.
