A biography of Thomas Seaver appears in the book "Walpole As It Was and As It Is" by George Aldrich, published by the Claremont Manufacturing Company, Claremont, NH, in 1880 (pages 353-354): "SEAVER, THOMAS, came to this town about the year 1803, from Northboro, Mass., and married Eunice Reddington, a sister of Thomas and Isaac, who were for many years merchants in Walpole. Mr. Seaver soon commenced trade, and continued business for more than forty years. He had all kinds of goods for sale, but his principal business was the compounding and sale of patent medicines, and among other things he made a liniment which was very popular for a time and a ready sale. He was one of the early pillars of the Orthodox church and for many years one of the deacons. He was proverbially a pious and peace-loving citizen and a constant attendee at worship. He was from a long lived family and he reached the ripe old age of ninety years and five months, Dec. 5, 1862; his wife d. Jan. 9, 1860, aged 72. Ch.: I. Harriet, b. June 15, 1804 II. Almira A., b. 1807, m. Samuel Prentiss, of Langdon, and had 5 ch. III. Susan, b. June 5, 1809; m. Leonard Worcester, who was an educated man and once owned an academy in this town. She had one child. They died in New Jersey. IV. Mary E., b. Oct. 1810; m. Francisco B. Lopez, and went to S. America - 4 ch. V. Hannah L., b. 1811; m. John C. Weir, moved to Alabama, and had six children. VI. Eunice Rebecca, b. Dec. 24, 1813; m. Wm. T. Matthews, and went to Alabama. VII. Thomas Henry, b. 1818. He was a merchant, and at one time was in company with his father, in town, but subsequently went to Alabama, where he died. He married Julia, daughter of Chester and Phebe Wier, of this town.
