The household included one free white male aged 5 to 10, one free white male aged 20 to 30, one free white male aged 50 to 60, one free white female aged 10 to 15 and one free white female aged 50 to 60 (1840 United States Census, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Population Schedule, Townsend, Page 208, FHL Microfilm 0,014,678). In the 1850 US census, the Jesse Seaver family resided in Townsend, Middlesex County, MA. The household included Jesse (age 64, farmer, $1,500 in real property, born MA), Elizabeth (age 64, born MA), Mary Warren (age 25, born MA) and Sarah E. Seaver (age 18, born MA). The records are in Middlesex County (MA) Probate Docket # 41,275 (FHL Microfilm 0,510,637). The records include: On 14 February 1860: Elizabeth Seaver of Townsend, Middlesex MA, widow, filed the will of Jesse Seaver late of Townsend, yeoman. The will reads: "Be it remembered that I Jesse Seaver of Townsend in the county of Middlesex being as I trust of sound disposing mind and memory but mindfull of the uncertainty of life do make publish and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made, in manner following, viz. "1st, I order all my just debts and funeral expenses and the expense of settling my estate to be paid as soon as convenient after my demise out of my estate. "2nd I give, devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate real personal and mixed of every kind and description wherever situate and however bounded or described unto my wife Elizabeth Seaver to have and to hold the same to her, her heirs and assigns to her use and behood forever. "3rd I constitute and appoint my wife Elizabeth Seaver sole executor of this my last will and testament.
