After calling his wife to his bedside, giving instructions as to the manner in conducting business and telling of how he wanted his children to live and giving full assurance that he was ready to meet his Maker and entertained no fear of the hereafter, Dan Pearson, a highly respected and well to do farmer, living one and half miles north of Hobart, died at three o'clock Friday morning. He was also a member of Hobart Baptist Church and the funeral services Saturday morning at the residence will be conducted by Rev. E. A. Wesson of Sentinel, former pastor of the Hobart church, under the direction of the Odd Fellows. It was the dying wish of Mr. Pearson that the Odd Fellows use their ceremonies at his funeral and burial. For three years Mr. pearson has suffered with the dreaded tuberculosis and after a hard fight, the disease won out. He was 37 years of age and leaves a wife and five children, whose ages range from six to eighteen years. About thirty minutes before breathing his last, Mr. Pearson held a conversation with his wife and explained in detail how she should conduct the business to be intrusted to her care. He also expressed the desire that his children live good christian lives and make honorable citizens. He stated that he was ready to die, so far as having peace with his God. Soon after the talk with Mrs. Pearson had been concluded, Mr. Pearson grew worse and expired at three o'clock." ........................................................................................................................................................
