CHESTNUT ~ Thomas L. Overbey, 73, of Chestnut, passed away at 6:10 p.m. on September 2, 2018, at his family home in Chestnut.
Services will conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with Greg Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at McClimans Cemetery, Hallsville. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Thomas L. Overbey memorial fund.
Thomas was born on July 29, 1945, in Lincoln, Ill., the son of Ira Francis and Helen (Laughner) Overbey. He married Linda K. Grathwohl July 3, 1964, in Clinton. She passed away December 4, 2017.
Survivors include his children, Tommy Overbey, Alton, Illl., and John (Jenni) Overbey, Hallsville; granddaughters, Katie and Bethany Overbey, Clinton; sister, Darlene Naugle, Lawndale, Illl.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Overbey; and sister, Sharon Ealy.
Thomas enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles.
