CHANCERY SALE OF LAND
In pursuance of a decree of the Chancery Court for Lincoln county, Tenn., prounounced at the February term, 1857, in the case of Robert S. Woodard, admr. of Thos. McGaugh, vs Daniel Tunstall and wife and others, I will on Monday, the 11th day of May, 1857, offer for sale to the highest bidder, on the premises, on a credit of one, two and three years, the valuable TRACT OF LAND on which Thomas McGaugh resided at the time of his death, lying in Lincoln county, Tenn., near the waters of Cane Creek. Said Land is bounded on the north by the lands of Alexander Smith, John R. Massey and Robert Carey, on the west by the lands of Joseph I. McCown, on the south by the lands of Robert A. Hamilton, and on the east by the land of James Davis, dec. and James Hays, containing about 400 acres. Said land will be sold subject to the widow’s dower.
Bond with two or more good and sufficient securities will be required of the purchasers, and a lien retained until the purchase money is paid.
