    QUAY 3 "The death of Mr. Thomas Mahoney, which occurred at his home at Uptergrove on September 25, marked the passing of one of the township of Mara's pioneer settlers. Mr. Mahoney was born at Waterford, I reland and with his parents, emigrated to Canada when he was 12 years of age. For the last seventy two years he has lived on the same home farm... There is left to survive him, his wife, two sons an d seven daughters; Patrick and Maggie at home, Mrs. J. J. Healy, of Atherly, Mrs. A. J. Gunn, Mr. Bert Mahoney, Miss Agnes and Miss Mildred, (in religion, Sr. St. Annunziata), all of Toronto....He i s survived by one brother and one sister, James Mahoney and Mrs. H. Lane, both of Atherly.
