Thomas (Leverett), Boston, came in the Griffin, arr. from London 4 Sept. 1633, hav. in July preced. resign. his place as one of the aldermen of the borough of Boston, Co. Lincoln, with w. Ann, ds. Jane and Ann, and prob. s. John; was soon made rul. Elder, and selectman, in ea. place contin. till his d. wh. occur. 3 Apr. 1650. On the day preced. by verbal will he gave all his est. to his w. wh. d. 16 Oct. 1656, made her will the day preced. from the silence of wh. we judge Jane was d. Ann m. Isaac Addington. But he had thirteen ch. as by the Registry of the borough, certif. copy of wh. was sent to Gov. L. by a friend, as follows: John, bapt. 16 Aug. 1612; Jane, 9 Aug. 1613; Jane, again, 6 Dec. 1614; John, again, 7 July 1616; Thomas, 30 July, 1618; Ann, 8 Jan. 1619; James, 28 June 1621; Sarah, 26 Sept. 1622; Mary, 5 Feb. 1623; Jabez, 6 Sept. 1627; Israel, 25 Sept. 1628; Elisha, 3 July 1630; and Nathaniel, 12 Apr. 1632; and we may believe that all but the 3d, 4th, and 6th d. young. A perfect Memoir of his fam. is cont in Geneal. Reg. IV. 121; and a Pedigree in the same work XII. 289, that is quite deficient in accurate dates. Four of this name at Harv. and five at other N. E. coll. had been gr. in 1834.
