MR. THOMAS ROBERT JOBSON

On Saturday last Mr. Thomas Robert Jobson was brought into the M.R.D. Hospital suffering from pneumonia, from which he died on Monday, afternoon last. The late Mr. Jobson was born on the Manning 69 years ago, his parents being the late. Mr. and Mrs. John Jobson of Mitchell's Island. About 40 years ago he went to Townsville, North Queensland, to live, and after remaining there for seven years returned to the Manning. He has lived on Mitchell's Island practically all his life. For the past six or seven years he has lived at Harrington. Deceased was married twice, his second wife surviving him. The sons are: Messrs. John Wm., of Dumaresque Island; Richard Tho- mas of Mitchell's Island; Thomas Robert, of Jones Island; and George of Taree. The daughters are: Mrs. Alf Wilkes, of Mitchell's Island; Mrs. A. A. Wilkes, of Bohnock; Mrs. Sam Burns, of Harrington; Mrs. Sam Johnston, of Rawson River; Mrs. V. McCaffrey, of Mitchell's Island, and Eileen and James at home. Another daughter died at the age of 18 months. Messrs. John Henry Jobson, of Taree, and Wm. of Mitchell's Island, are brothers, and Mrs. Davis, of Mitchell's Island is a step sister. The remains were interred in the Scott's Creek cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. J. W. McCredie reading the burial service. Mr. S. A. Bridge attended to the funeral, arrangements.
