Information on Thomas Huston

From "Franklin County, Virginia: A History", by Marshall Wingfield, pg. 5:

(Regarding the formation of Franklin County, Virginia:)

The matter was not permitted to rest long, for in the fall of 1782, both Henry and Bedford County presented petitions. Both bore the same date, November 23. The Bedford petition was signed by Isaac Rentfro, Thomas Green, Charles Roston, Robert Wickens, Thomas Huston, John McGinnis and 300 others, and set forth that a new county will contain 1000 titables, leaving Bedford with 1576.

From "An Old Virginia Court", by Marshall Wingfield, pg. 129:

June Court 1788 - At a Court held for Franklin County on Monday the 2nd Day of June 1788. Present: Peter Saunders, Jonathan Richardson, Moses Greer, George Turnbull & John Dickinson, Gent. A Deed, Charles Roason from Thomas Huston Prv'd & Agnes his wife , being Privily Examined, Relinquish'd & c. & O.R.

Could anyone on this list tell me if there was or is a record of names of those who were members in Bedford and Franklin County VA of Elder Jacob Miller. I know that he originated in PA and went south with his flock into VA, then moved west to Ohio and Indiana.

The Huston brothers, James and Samuel, were co-founders of the Four Mile Church in College Corner. As a descendent of James Huston, I want to know if his father Thomas Huston, who moved from PA to VA, but died in Virginia about 1810, was also a Brethren. When he lived in PA, it appears that he and his wife, Agnes McElwain, were members of the Presbyterian Church.

Would appreciate any information on the Huston background as far as the Brethren Church is concerned.
