Thomas Merrick Henderson was enlisted by G. W. Flint at Detroit Michigan on August 23rd, 1862. He stood 5 feet 10 inches high, dark complexion, dark eyes. He was born in Farmington, MI and is 24 at the time he enlisted.


Thomas Merrick Henderson served in the Civil War with Company H, Michigan Cavalry (Union) We have a copy of his discharge from the Army listing his disability as Plennihz?? with adhesions on both sides which he states has existed a year. Tuberculosis probably existing. Unfit for invalid corps.
