John & Patience Hiller) Nott, who was b. 29 July, 1699, and d. 9 Oct., 1769—Weth. Ins.; he d. Spring of 1774. Will pres. to Ct. by s. Hosea. Invent. £885-3-6. He was a tanner, Nov. 1733, Co. Ct. Rec. From this Thomas & Anne Harris descended all the Harris families in Weth. The house built by Thomas Harris of the fourth generation, in 1755 still stands on South Hill in a good state of preservation. The frame of the house just North of it was raised by his son Hosea on the day of the battle of Lexington, April, 1775, and was burned in 1902."
