    He requested the Town of Springfield to grant him meadow land at the head of the 'Norther Branch of Longmedow Brooke,' 12 Mar. 1699/1700, and it was granted 11 Mar. 1700/1, at which time he asked for 10 acres more. He was chosen a fence viewer, 9 Mar. 1702/3, for Longmeadow, also 12 Mar. 1705/6, hayward (or field driver), 11 Mar. 1706/7, fence viewer and hayward, 8 Mar. 1708/9, and fence viewer, 10 Mar. 1729/30; a surveyor for highways, 9 Mar. 1707/8, 14 Mar. 1720/1, and 12 Mar. 1733/4; a tithing-man, 13 Mar. 1715/16; and Constable, 11 Mar. 1717/18."
