Jacobus and Waterman, in Hale, House, point out that Timothy Hale of Suffield could have been either (1) son of Thomas1 Hale of Hartford, Norwalk and Charlestown, or (2) son of John1 Heald of Concord, and decided to leave the question open. It is not clear why Threlfall states that Timothy was son of John of Concord without further discussion.
