Husband, father, brother and grandfather. Son of Howard Baldwin Crittenden and Alberta (Gamber) Crittenden. Grandson of the famous Civil War Union Brigadier General, Thomas Turpin Crittenden (1825-1905). Thomas was a Veteran of the US Airforce in WWII.

Obituary excerpts from "The San Diego Union," April 5, 1983 -

Attorney Thomas T. Crittenden who practiced civil law in the San Diego area for 48 years, died last Thursday at Villa View Community Hospital. He was 77. Crittenden was a native San Diegan who graduated from Hastings Law School. He served in the Air Force in WWII, retiring as a major. He was a member of the California State Bar Association, American Legion Post 6, the Republican National Committee and the Reserve Officers Association of the United States. Survivors include his wife, two brothers, a son and nine grandchildren. Military services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in Lewis Colonial-Benbough Mortuary, with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
