Clifford, 82, of Grant, died Wednesday night in Herkimer Memorial Hospital. He had been a resident here for the past 75 years. He was born in Troy, the son of Thomas and Ellen Clark Clifford. He was a retired mail carrier. Mr. Clifford was a veteran of World War 1 and was a charter member of the Adirondack American Legion Post, Cold Brook. He leaves a niece, Mrs. Ned (Kathryn) Cookinham, Poland. The funeral will be... Saturday from the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery with full military honors.
