Will of Thomas Brown
CULPEPER COUNTY.
- Dec. 21, 1758, probate. Will of Thomas Brown, dated Aug. 16, 1758. Daughter Eleanor; Thomas, son of brother Coleman Brown, and Ann, daughter of brother William Brown; niece Elizabeth Fargeson, £ 40. "Whereas by the will of Edward Stubblefield, Dec'd., he left a negro named Kate to his wife, Eleanor, with whom I married after the decease of the said Edward and did order in his will that his daughter, Ann Stubblefield, should have the issue of said Kate, I therefore order that my executors pay the said Ann Stubblefield 940 when of age or she marries" "To my mother 40 shillings per annum during her natural life." Exors., brothers Daniel and William.
