LAID AT REST - Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon over the remains of the late Thomas Slater Bellis of Wayland, at the home of his mother, Mrs. Adeline Bellis 211 South street this city. Rev. Mr. Fales officiated.
The many beautiful floral offerings from sorrowing relatives and sympathizing friends told a silent story of the esteem in which the deceased was held. Representatives were present from the firm of Jordan Marsh & Co., Boston, where the deceased has been employed for the past twenty-eight years, having by persistent efforts worked his way up to the position of head accountant; friends were also present from Everett, Brockton, and Wayland.
Among the floral offerings were a willow from the firm of Jordan Marsh & Co; bouquet, Mr. and Mrs. Balfour of Everett; floral piece, Uncle Dyer Curtis and Cousin Emma; bouquet forty-two pink, Sister Etta; forty-two white pinks, Sister Dollie; and many other floral tributes from sorrowing friends. Internment was at Mt. Feake.
