    Subject: Uncle Todd Memorial
    It appears that Uncle Todd passed on October 14 not Oct 6th
    If he died Wed, October 6, it would have been about a week and 1/2 before he was buried and if he died on the 14th it was only 3 days. It is hard telling exactly when he died..............and we may never know. I did verify the Cemetery, Bay City did not list a Greenrich Cemetery.

    The first registered land area in Bay County was to Stephan Riley. This was in 1819. However, the City of Bay City did not settle until 1832, when Leon Trombley migrated from Detroit, Michigan. He had a commission to instruct the Indians in "agricultural methods." Bay City was only a trading post until 1836.
    This is similar to the information sent me by grandfather's friend however in his article the name is Leon Tremble (I found that piece and I will send it to you) The link I found this excerpt from is below. I makes me wonder if the reason Peter decided to move to Bay City is because relatives were already living there.
