    "285. Dea. Theophilus5 Baldwin (Mary4, Hannah3, Mary2, Gov. Thomas1), baptized 22 October 1699 (Milford First Congregational Church Records, slip index citing 1:29); and died 1 August 1784, at age 85, buried in the Milford Side Cemetery, Woodbridge, Connecticut (Hale 37). … He served as a deacon in the Amity Church, Woodbridge, (Connecticut from 1743 to 1784 (Baldwin 100). Theophilus Baldwin of the Society of Amity in the town of Milford wrote his will 8 July 1777. He named his wife Doratah [sic], his daughter Mary Strong, and his sons Henry, Theophilus, Isaac, Alsop and Richard. He appointed his sons Theophilus and Isaac as executors. The will was witnessed by Benjamin Woodbridge, Miles Merwin, and Sarah Woodbridge. It was proved 26 August 1784. On 29 December 1784, the five sons made their own agreement to provide more land for Henry (New Haven Probate District, (Connecticut Estate Files, docket no. 690)."
