Richard4 (Baldwin) Theophilus3 Barnabas,2 bapt. in Milford, Parish of Amity, 1 Dec., 1745, continued to live there (it becoming, in 1785, the town of Woodbridge), until his death, 2 April, 1823. He was chosen, 30 June, 1701, Deacon in the church. He was prominent in the church and town, and a man of position and wealth. He m., 31 Oct., 1771, Alice [error for Abiah] Botchford, of Milford, sister of Lydia, w. of his brother Henry: his 2nd w. Abiah d. 23 Oct., 1805, aged 58. His will, dated 29 Dec., 1815, proved 21 April, 1823, makes liberal provision for his children in the various towns where they were located."
